        Very nice. You should ask them for a swop 🙂

          When my cars have been in a workshop and given a dealer courtesy car, it has always been a much lower model and specification. I never understood the missed sales opportunity that if you were to give them a better model than they dropped off,  an owner may get persuaded to trade up – e.g. drop off a BMW 3 series given the owner a 5 as courtesy car.

          Once I dropped off a very high end BMW and was given a cinquecento (https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_Cinquecento)  hardly the thing for the directors car park.  When I raised the issue, I was told these were the only cars they had.  When I pointed to the used cars on the forecourt, the workshop manager mentioned that they were for “new customers ….” and as he trailed off, realised what he said and then said he would get the keys for  them.

              I dropped off a Skoda Octavia and was given a Fabia, fair enough, but was told rather arrogantly “Make sure you replace the fuel you use.” When I returned it, I was asked “Did you put fuel in it?” Pi@@ poor customer service, this and other things means we won’t be using the same dealer next time.

                I’ve got to say my BMW dealership has been great with courtesy cars, so far had a x1 hybrid, a x3 and two 330i touring all of them brand new, the last one I really didn’t want to give it back it had all the extra features added.

                  @Fastbike

                  The efforts to give you a decent car replacement car had obviously worked because even now posting on the this forum people are thinking positive things about the modern BMW dealerships and I bet you have mentioned it to a few friends/family as well

                    I’ve had nothing but positive experience with my dealer and I’ve loved the X1. its just a great shame BMW are no longer on the scheme and I’ve had to go to another manufacturer, I just hope the Nissan dealer and Nissan have the same standards.
