Hi,

Hope you can help me find a car. My 12 years old daughter has pachygyria syndrome and uses pushchair. It is really cumbersome to dismantle pushchair for easy storage. We looking for a car, from Motability scheme, which has enough boot height and space to store pushchair without dismantling.

Other desirable features we looking for are  – Automatic, Electric, enough leg room, some adaptation for her car seat for easy access, upto £500 advance.

Hi,

Nothing springs to mind, I’m sure others may come along with suggestions. Have you considered applying for a grant to help with the Advanced Payment, it could mean you get the car you need even if it costs more. Also, speak with Motability, the grants team in particular have a very good knowledge of what’s available.

Hi, I would think your looking more towards a van derived vehicle to stow a wheelchair unfolded. Depending on the dimensions of your daughters pushchair, its possible it would go in on its side in a large car or estate.

However you may struggle to find anything with an advance payment of £500 max. You could try and apply for a grant to help towards the advance but I honestly don’t think they will take into account the fath of unfolding it sorry.
