So I’ve just read people who ordered the Gt Premium last year when it had heated seats on the spec sheet, the cars are turning up without them as Peugeot has made it an optional extra now, dealers aren’t telling customers this, what would you do?

The reason they don’t tell you before is so when you turn up to collect if you notice the cars there in front of you and they know most people at that point will take the car.

Theu know if they tell you in advance you’ve got time to weigh up your option get legal advice, order a different car. Why these manufacturers are allowed to break a contract with no co sequences is beyond me.

If it were me it’s a real breaker when you’re sitting there in pain all the time often that heat is the only thing that gets you thru the journey and yes you could add a heated pad or something but so could the dealer you paid for a spec they need to deliver it.

One thing for sure I’ll be checking every detail when I next order a new car, well assuming I can find one that suits that doesn’t cost thousands

I hate the heated seats tbh. I’m not large at 5ft 11 and weighing 15st and all they do even at 1bar is get my bits \o/ all sweaty.

However I do love the cool ventilated seats I have. I can also see the advantage of the heated seats for pain tbf

Peugeot Customer Care ended up saying the missing spec on our GT premium had nothing to do with them and it was an issue we needed to take up with the dealership (despite the dealership saying we needed to take it up with Peugeot Customer Care).

The dealership manager then wanted two weeks to speak with the Area Manager to find out what to do – not very hopeful re this, as two weeks have now passed! Grrr…

A month in and having driven the car over 1000 miles our biggest bugbear is missing an electric tailgate, as the tailgate is rather heavy and cumbersome to close with just a handle on the underside of the tailgate on the left to pull the tailgate down. Not missing the heated seats as much as the seat material doesn’t feel that cold as it’s not full leather, but obviously electric adjustment is missing too but once the seat is in position it’s not too big a deal to be missing it either – just annoying more than anything. Other than that, we do like the car and are pleased with it with our 3 under 10yr old kids in tow.

One nifty feature is the lane keep assist combined with adaptive cruise control which ‘almost’ works like a Tesla’s autosteer on the motorway where the steering wheel moves for itself to keep the car in lane! Got to keep your hands on the wheel for the most part though.

We’ll keep you posted with the dealership reply…
