I know we are lucky to have parts and servicing included on our leases but I was looking at the parts price breakdown on a recent service and mot at Peugeot.

It all came to £1700 with a broken rear seat belt retaining buckle at £250 and a broken front one at an eye watering £450 just for a seat belt buckle.

@Mark how on earth have you managed to break to seat belts?

Good question. In 35 years of driving I’ve had 3 broken belts. One on an old Volvo 740 and 2 on this Peugeot Rifter.

Thing is the rear belt that broke was the centre one that hardly ever gets used.

Maybe some but these were definitely broken before they went in.

The front one would often trap my wife in the seat after not releasing. Had to give it a few presses to release it.
