So, we picked up our Kona EV on Monday as arranged. There was a prepared a video introduction/tour of the main features which is very useful as we can refer back to it when we want/need to. When I said that the tour was around our car Mrs Bfoandc thought I meant a tour around a Kona Ultimate and was really surprised when it was OUR car! Great idea!

We stayed overnight to give us time to ‘play’ around with some of the features and try out the ‘public’ charging systems before heading for our 2.5 hr trip to get our ferry home. Glad we had planned to do so as the mats ordered hadn’t turned up and so we could go back to the dealers to collect them and also to ask some questions that arose in our first usage.

The car behaved brilliantly on our journey home and the predicted and actual range seemed pretty spot-on and is certainly more accurate than any fossil fuel vehicle we have used. When we got home we connected the 3 pin cable charger to the car and let it run all night. It is now 100% charged and is suggesting a range of 319 miles! As a vehicle this is certainly a game changer for us, as fuel is pretty costly anywhere but it is even more so on an island. The tech also managed to impress Mrs Bfoandc who loved the head up display!

There is so much to learn on the car that it will take us some time to get used to what it offers but it certainly has met my need for more comfort than our last car and waving goodbye to fossil fuel is a strange, but really positive feeling.

        I think it’s a Scottish thing. They’re different up there….

Sif, you obviously missed out on the humour gene and got an extra insulting one instead.  Please don’t answer my comments in future, if you can’t be civil.

Wigwam, here is a copy, with places I do live, deleted, I posted to admin.

Someone has hacked my account, username and thinks it is funny to insult you. It was not me. I would never post that insult. I do not live in kent and never have done. If the forum is now peopled by trolls who get their kicks pretending to be others to cause mischief, then perhaps its the time, as Brydo alluded to, to restrict access.

Once again Wigwam, be assured I did not post that insult.

Nice colour car, wire looks a bit weird draping across the country side though.

Just2Fish did you put the number plate with the green icon on the car, or is it just the discretion of the dealer..

The number plate was the dealer’s choice.
