      I am preparing to do my first charge today at home with the Ohme Epod.

      Opened the Ohme app and filed out the required fields,it also asked to connect to the car by me inputting the Skoda ID email and password did that but it failed to connect.

      Checked my Skoda ID for its correct email and password and i signed into that account without problem,does the “app permissions” need to have Ohme added, as it says i dont have any apps added,and i also cannot see a way to add them in the account.

      Am i doing something wrong,any advise welcome.

        Are you using Octopus or OVO ev tariff?

        Don’t forget to tell the car where it lives or it can affect charging.

          Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

            Does it matter that I am on British Gas Ev11 tariff.

            And why I cat pair Ohme to the Skoda.

              @mickc

              For what its worth, I do not pair my car to the Ohme app. Its gonna communicate with the car and adjust accordingly.

              Not pairing Ohme to the car means when the car starts charging according to the s hedule I set up with the car and Ohme app, it starts charging at full whack until the car shuts off charging when it reaches my limit of 90%.

              I manually added my car (make and model) to the Ohme app and added the Octopus Go rate as well.

              It may be different with the Enyaq. The Ohme app did pick up my British Gas EV rate when I was with them easily.

                @Ioniq.

                All I have done so far put the cars details into Ohme (manually) and told it that I am using BG Ev plan.It was at that point it asked me to pair Ohme app with the Skoda,it failed to connect.

                Now read that you input the charge times and % level was that done in the car or via the cars app.

                  Setting the charging schedule was done using the App, which then sends it to the car.

                  TBH the Bluelink app is very good with the Ioniq 5.

                  I thought the Enyaq app was equally as good.  But essentially the charging is controlled by the car, the Ohme just pushes the juice out and the car decides when its full

                  Its a faff until you get used to it, and its easy peasy once its setup.

                  The  faff is the cheap rate begins at 11.30pm and you wont know until that time if its gonna charge or not.  It will work Mick, its just like every new thing, takes a bit to master. You will do fine.

                    Car is charging OK,got green lights on,Ohme app says its charging at 7kwh,ive set it to go off at 5.00am when the cheap rate finishes on the BG Ev11 tariff.

                    Ive had a stressful week my head is “tech” frazzled early in the week my desktop computer which i have had for ages which originally had windows vista installed and i had it upgraded over the years thru all the “other” windows upto 10,well it went a bit funny,so i had to get its replacement out of its box which i have had for 18 months Windows 11 Dell Inspiron with 1tb,and i set that up and got it running yesterday.

                    Still need to take the old computer to computer shop to get all my pics/video’s/documents etc extracted and put on my new computer.

                      @mickc

                      I feel your pain. I just up graded my pc a week ago with an upgrade bundle from Scan and lost the best part of a week trying to get it back to where it was before. Re-installing Windows is ok, its installing and re-registering the software that is the pain.

                      Good thing is you got your car charging. Once its setup its just a case of plugging it in.

                        All worked well,when i started charging at about 12.30am i had 19% charge left,i set the app to finish charging at 5.00am (when the cheap rate BG Ev11 tariff stops).

                        I got up at 05.15am to see if it had switched off…it had..light on car was white and while i was feeding Sooty it went red.

                        Checked both app’s (Ohme and Skoda) and it was showing 55% in the car.

                        I should’nt have stressed as much as i did for my first charge,i think i will be ok for now.

                        Thanks for your help chaps.
