Ordered a Qashquai Teckna + in October of last year and although I receive a monthly update from the dealer it only states no build date yet, also this model has now come off the motabilty scheme on 01.04 22 though the basic teckna is still on. Has anyone else a similar experience with Nissan and am I  likely to still receive my order.

There is no reason for you not to receive the car, the trim line you ordered is still in production. I’ve not heard of any major downtime at Sunderland, just a backlog of orders. The higher up the trim line you go the more chips required, the greater the chance of a prolonged delay. I would try to pin down the dealer to ask if there are other Tekna+ orders coming through.

If the order is with the factory (as it seems, since otherwise you wouldn’t get build date updates), you will very likely receive the spec you ordered.

Just, as most (all) other manufacturers, Nissan is facing the same harsh reality that there’s not enough semiconductors to go around for everyone, leading to sometimes absurd delays. In the Golf 8 thread there’s people who waited almost 1.5 years on their car – and the Qashquai, while it did lose some ground, is still a very popular car.

My guess would be that it’s just a delay.

Same model same month David.You get monthly updates,youre lucky my dealer is pathetic 4x contacted them.Never contacted me once the latest update i got was pushed back to early june.

Just had an email from dealer advising delivery date of 10 June, first time a date had been given on this car. fingers crossed.
