Two very different cars. The Ariya is upright and very well spec’d, the Mustang is much lower and well spec’d but less so than the Nissan. With the new options available (which is why I assume you’re asking) the MAch-e goes further than the 63kWh version but the Evolve has so much more equipment it’s unreal. It depends on what you’re after from your car but heated and cooled seats with memory function for seats, steering wheel and mirrors as well as powered tailgate, heated rear seats and a heads up display make the equipment in the Evolve far beyond the Mustang. The longer range Advance model still has electric and heated front seats and a powered tailgate but can go much further than the Mustang (up to an extra 70 miles).
Ride height and quality will be very different, all reviews comment on the Ford being rather bumpy while the Nissan is a less aggressive setup and more forgiving of the British roads.
I’d still try both and would test drive them both as well as the Enyaq. Only after you’ve driven them could you be absolutely sure which you prefer.

June 3, 2023 at 8:21 pm #222930I sat in a Mustang yesterday……….it was lovely.
June 3, 2023 at 8:40 pm #222931Yeah I sat in one couple of weeks ago thought it was amazing inside and out , have not sat in an aryia yet . But reviews I have seen does seem to make the aryia the comfy ride and the mustang more sporty , both look lovely
June 3, 2023 at 9:17 pm #222935I’ve sat in both. I was really surprised by how nice the seats were in the Mustang and the doors were big enough that I could get in without bending my legs which is a huge bonus for anyone with arthritic knees.
The Ariya I felt really comfortable in but it felt like I was perched on the seats. You definitely notice the added height in the Nissan as well.
Which of the two you prefer depends greatly upon personal choice. Drive them both, they’re both great cars.

June 4, 2023 at 8:33 am #222942I haven’t had a chance to sit in and look at a Mustang so I really can’t give you a opinion but I have the Ariya.
The Ariya is a very comfortable and relaxing car to drive ,very well built with some nice features, I have the tech pack fitted with Bose sound, HUD and the rear view mirror camera and the 22kw onboard charger which the Evolve has and a few things more.
You need really to have a good text drive in both. The Ford and Nissan are both really good cars and what ever you choose I’m sure you will enjoy it.
June 4, 2023 at 11:54 am #222954How do you find the whole charging thing , and do you find it cheaper than a petrol car ?
June 4, 2023 at 12:20 pm #222957@Matty, it depends where you charge.
Charging at home, the difference in cost is night and day, most will report a full charge for less that £15 depending entirely upon what your electric tariffs look like. Public charging is less clear, with many charging between 60p and 75p per kW the cost is near but still below diesel cars. However, some companies charge more, I’ve seen £1 per kW and even £1.50 in one car park out in the sticks. At those prices, it’s not economical, but those prices are rare and clearly taking advantage of the cost of living/high inflation to increase revenues.
I recently did a 450 mile trip in a 130 mile ranged MG ZS and it cost me around £47, I’ve no idea what petrol would have cost me, it’s 3 years since I paid for any.

June 4, 2023 at 1:33 pm #222960If you go for a ev check that see if they are compatible with ovo charger anytime which I think is best tariff, they charge you standard rate for home so 32.8p a kw at the moment and how it works is you give them permission to start the charge and when ever grid is low use they will start it, it works well and you still get daytime charging during low grid use times and most of the night at 10p a kw
June 4, 2023 at 8:17 pm #222984I’m still on a standard tariff. Last month I only used a home charger.

Slightly Gongeri have octopus go. march 2022 version it is going up as they’re ending it but currently i get 4 hours of electricity between 00.30 and p4.30 hrs 7 days a week which means I can get 324 miles in my kona for £4.80.
All i do is charge for 8 hrs over two nights. it’s never near zero miles so i don’t have run into a third night.

you should look at ovo they are doing it differently ovo anytime is a addon and not a tariff, if you qualify you get 10p a kw and just leave car plugged in, so you go on std tariff Luke your on
June 11, 2023 at 1:54 pm #223338Cheers Rico, I’ll give them a check ?
