Wish they would add some practicality to the 5008, as it is it’s not got enough room for adults in the rear 2 seats and the headroom is poor as is the boot, for a big estate style suv the sloping lines really compromises the usefulness of what should be a cavernous load area.

Really like the looks of the render though, little bit of the “Espace” going on with it, nice. ??

i agree vinalspin, like the c4 grandpicasso i had if your making it for 7 seats it needs a flat back to give you the room for 7 plus luggage. the c4 was brilliant as the seats all went flat and the load area was then like a transit.

and yet it had really comfy seats and drove really well.

thats what the 5008 needs to be aiming for, leave the sporty suv bit to the 3008.

We don’t need a massive car anymore, but that 5008 does look nice.

Vinal I think that’s what they’re trying to do with this model, looks like they’re making it more practical

Here’s the video of the new 3008 by Peugeot, seems like a nice minor update, having had the 3008 for 2.5 years, it was a very nice car, interior much better than anything German (other than the new Mercedes interior) but it wasn’t as fast, hopefully this updated version is as fast

TheSUVGuy, I do like the look of the facelift version (some picture videos online of the 5008 with the same styling), hope they have improved the rear space in the 5.

I hope I’m wrong but looking at the rear bumper to roof length the new 5008 looks like it will still suffer from low boot hight even if they manage to improve the rear headroom.
To make this as practical as the old 806 it needs to be mpv not suv shaped.
I must be one of the few who hate the 3008/5008 dashboard and tiny wheel. It felt too cramped and just odd on test drive too.
But no denying Peugeots look stylish again.

Hope they sort out the tilt angle of the backrest on the front passenger seat. Otherwise pretty good all round.

I had my eyes set on the new Tiguan (even tho I really want the Mercedes glb but I doubt it’ll come on motability who knows) but now the new 5008 is tempting me.

i agree it doesn’t look like they’ve sorted out the middle row head room issue but who knows maybe we’re wrong

Also how funny is this, the new VW ID 6 is camo’d as the 5008, the did this with the VW ID4, made it look like a 3008, wonder if they ask Peugeot for permission https://twitter.com/cole_marzen/status/1303435681088315392?s=21

Going by the way they use a photocopier and just move a couple of lines when designing every new version of golf etc the Peugeot was probably the closest in shape/size to make it work and just did the same copy thing.

God that autocar mock pic of the 5008 is gorgeous.

We have a grand Voyager & nothing new touches it for practicality & comfort, nothing. The seats all fold flat into the floor leaving a van interior & even the rear row has headroom for 3 adults with a big enough boot for 2 adult German Shepherds lol.

I’ve decided I’m gonna keep it for long distance stuff & get the ZS EV for the 90% of the time.
