You are on the Scheme because you get a car that you could afford privately cheaper through the Scheme. Nothing wrong with that. Every customer on the Scheme decides to join for their own interests, you, me and the next person, for many this is not based on what is the most cost effective option. Again there is nothing wrong with this. That applies to lease extensions, people choose to extend for a variety of reasons, many are waiting for the premium brands to return, waiting for a suitable vehicle to appear or as was the case with myself, I was happy to extend into the eighth year of my lease as the vehicle suited my needs, it was fully covered as if it was brand new and I had trouble free motoring.  My situation may have benefitted Motability financially but I was only thinking about myself.
