MPG Costs a little more complicated.

With the Nissan Qashqai being a little different from other petrol hydrids, Toyota, Kia etc trying to ‘guesstimate’ MPG costs became a bit harder.
With the Qashqai petrol engine only charging the cars battery, does anyone know how the MPG figures of the Qashqai compares to others such as Toyota, Kia etc where the battery and petrol engine both share the driving energy?

i have the juke hybrid and i take the on board mpg with a pinch of salt. i do my own calculation after i fill up.

so far 57mpg the onboard display varies day to day between 54 and 67 as the best.20 mile round trip each day and then any odd trips to garden centre etc.

you would need  to do a brim to brim test if you dont trust the computer.

@Mike 700 will give you all the answers on E-power mpg. The Qashqai doen’t have the additional wait of a traditional gearbox and drives more akin to an EV.

WLTP for the Nissan is 53.3mpg Sprtage 49.6mpg.

The nissan e-power will do around 60mpg, you won’t get that out of the kia sportage!

I also add the cost of the electric to the petrol cost then divide that into litres and miles covered.

Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
