I had an Autochair SmartLifter LM mobility scooter hoist fitted to my car in April 2023. Great piece of kit, worked a dream until yesterday. The handset no longer operates the “up”or “down” function. It still does “in”and “out” perfectly. The fuse is not blown. The car battery is not flat. The troubleshooting section in the manual does not feature “ my” problem. Has this happened to anyone else?

Likely a berak in the wiring near or in the remote.

Thanks, but no visible loose wiring. Can’t be faulty handset as it performs two of the four  tasks 🤔

You’ll need to get in touch with the installers as the hoist along with the car is covered for breakdowns.

I had to call them once because I had a problem with my scooter not quite reaching the ground on some surfaces so needed to add a couple of millimetres to the loading strap, mobile service team of my installer more or less came around to fix within hours of calling them.

Thanks,  yes I will indeed be calling them first thing tomorrow as I’m at a complete loss as to why this has happened 🤷‍♀️

I hope my installer is as good as yours was in coming out to you.
