Sonny is remember that thread as it was a car I was looking at. I don’t think it was trolling tbh. The internet is full of people complaining about the gearbox problems.

Mg owners give it 35% in a reliability poll, with the 1st being electrical problems and 2nd the gearbox.

That would not put me off tbh as there’s a chance I may not encounter these problems, and if I did I would just hand it back and would not put up with long off road periods as they try to fix it.

Tbh the lack of tinted windows put me off more than the gearbox problems lol

The new trophy spec comes with tinted windows now, which is what we’ve ordered this time.

On our current one it was a negative for us too both because of the dog and the person lift gets stored on the back seats. Motability said we could get them tinted but would have to remove them before handing it back. We decided to use these instead https://solarplexius.co.uk/uk/ as they’ll be easy to remove before handing back. Had to get permission from Motability first though which was simple.
