BertyLooking at a Nissan Qashqai and they appear to have cars in stock
Is this the case recently, and has anyone ordered a vehicle and had quick delivery?
Also, if so – are there other manifacturers with dealer stock?
On a side note – I saw the new Honda CRV and it looks gorgeous. That would be good on Motability…lol

If my experience over the past 15 months is anything to go by my VW dealer has often had the same car, even the wanted colour, in stock for immediate delivery but I still waited near on 15 months for delivery so you can’t go by dealer stock, well not with VW you can’t and assume some others are the same.
I could go on to say that its Motability customers being push down the queue but its not because I know for fact it’s every day folk who factory order are getting the same treatment.
That said it seems like dealer are getting more cars now than what they got last year.
February 20, 2023 at 1:02 pm #209877I emailed my nearest Nissan dealers last week asking if they had a specific colour /model on site. Most replied saying that they didn’t, and it would be May delivery if ordered now. Juke orders would be June.
Some replies stated what they did have in the showroom. One was of interest to me and consequently, I collect it this week.

Tommy MHaving ordered and waited for an Ariya for a number of months, due to a number of factors, decided in January to look into a Qashqai e power. Dealer had a couple of options in stock and 2 weeks later I was driving it home. As long as you have a bit of flexibility on trim / colour. You could get lucky, so give it a go.
Mpg, well on short journeys I’ve got results of 99.9mpg, but then on others 14mpg! It depends on whether there is charge in the batteries. Medium to long journeys 40 – 50mpg so far. But I like the power and delivery. Very smooth, almost instant and nippy which is good for getting around the gridlocked roads near me. Ok, its no sports car but more fun than most crossovers / suvs.

ePower is a complete electric drive system, electric motors connected to the front wheel. The 1.5 petrol engine is a specialised tuned/mapped engine that is just a portable generator. It will power up and down as needed, to generate electrical energy to drive the motors, to both drive the motors and charge the battery, or just simply to charge the battery.
The drive motors can be powered direct from the battery, or the inverter direct from the petrol generator.

Tommy MStandard n-connecta is £2k – but extra is added if you want nice paint. Think it was £600 for the Fuji red.
it’s not a phev though. It has limited electric only range – max so far I’ve got out of it is half a mile (I did say short!) before the petrol engine kicks in to keep the electric motor going and a give a bit of recharge to the batteries for the next time I go “EV” in a supermarket car park.
