Just been down to my dealer to sort some details out for my collection in Feb and he has been informed by KIA that the soul will remain on the scheme from the 1st of Jan but the AP price will increase to £3499. So glad i ordered before now, obviously a brexit thing i think or maybe they thought it was just too low in the first place looking at the Kona. Either way if you want one get in there now and it looks like we are in for a very tough few years if other manufacturers follow suite.

Nothing to do with Brexit, the car is built outside the EU and under the EU there are caps on car imports.
more down to Covid with all manufacturers are not working at full capacity, demand for batteries outstripping demand, governments removal of fossil fuel cars making mire demand.

Kia will want to sell to non Motability, lije all suppliers, for bigger profits and add ins.

we have already seen price increases for the last year quarter on quarter

BMW cars are set for big increases from January 1st… and it’s got nothing to do with a Brexit deal.

The i3 models (for example) are increasing by £3,500 because not enough parts of the car are made/sourced in the EU – so they’re liable for larger customs tariffs. Same goes for most BMW models.

OK so i got the brexit part wrong apologies for that. Was meant as a pre warning for anyone contemplating ordering one but waiting until the next quarter to see what appears.

It will be interesting to see what BMW do. This is their second largest European market, if they want to price themselves out of the market then so be it.
otger companies can do what they do in otter European narjets, which is they under spec compared to the U.K., same car, less kit.

As you have to oay for everything to get a BMW to the same spec as otger companies, they may not be able to do that.

If they want sales, nthry will need to price competitively.

After Brexit, mtgere will be great choice from non EU based car companies

Hi Stuart glad you got in early enough to avoid the increase. I took delivery of my Kia Soul on 20th November. As Ellie has said previously it’s a smashing car well built with plenty of “welly” when you need it! You can really look forward to rewarding driving experience in every good family car.
