May be of interest to some. Sold my leaf this weekend so I can use my mother’s car and take her shopping. 2014 car I bought a year ago for £8k. Done 8k miles in it still has 12 battery health bars. Got £8.2k for it. Got paid £200 to drive it for a year.? Mother’s lease is up in January hoping for a full sized EV to come on scheme.

Hoping for a full sized EV to come on the scheme by January(or even 2020), you might want to start your training for pearl diving as you’re going to need to hold your breath for quite a while!

Loads of stuff due out next year. We can wait a few months. By the end of the year half the stuff on the scheme will be electric.

Half of the cars will be electric? Dream on.

That would be great if it was true, time will tell.

But it’s quite shocking a scheme like this has so few ev’s.

there are 2 things stopping that:

price the advance payments for evs so far are high as they are for most ev’s.

availability companies are not going to give motability discounts when most ev’s cant meet demand anyway.

Evman, I’ve been avidly waiting for Ev’s to come in to the scheme since the original Leaf was released, as you can see we are no further forward.  I’m afraid you may be waiting a bit longer than a year to get a good sized Ev to come on at a reasonable AP.
