Just been reading on the BBC the July price cap should drop the average bill by about £11 a month?

I got my new rates from Octopus yesterday (well only the electricity) and I’m going to be saving a massive £7.71, a year!  All that’s gone down is the standing charge, by a massive 2.124p a day!

For some reason there’s no info from them on my gas prices, I also didn’t get a gas bill for Apr-May or May-Jun.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

Get your gas bill sorted before winter or you’ll be in for a nice suprise!

So my fixed Gas is coming to an end, I did have fixed electric, but moved to standard GO to trial halfway through the electric fix. However, I’m thinking rather than Octopus SVR for peak hours, moving to a EV tariff with a fixed peak hour rate.

Interestingly Octopus sent a text offering  “Intelligent Drive Pack” , as a add on to a standard SVR or fixed triff. The add on offers unlimited scheduled smart charging for £30 month, which is pointless to me, as I don’t have a car or charger that is  compatible or does it cost me that much a month!

@Kezo  Gas sorted earlier this year, got a 16 month fixed price deal, runs until June 2026  🙂

I looked at the £30 fixed cost but not an option for me, worst ever month of charging was under £18.

I think it’s more tailored to travelling business users myself.

N.B I meant get payment sorted, before it mounts up 🙂

            Hows your son doing?

He’s fine  🙂  Currently here and having lunch before we do our weekly shopping trip 🙂

Luckily my Octopus account is almost £1600 in credit!, I pay £125 a month and just let it top up, you never know what’s coming this winter!
