As it seems more and more likely that the Enyaq is going to fall off of my shortlist, especially if it’s headed for a possible £4k ap minimum, I have been doing some more looking around.

I saw here that the Volvo EX30 may be headed to the scheme and it does interest me.

A bit of digging seems to indicate the more powerful 4wd car will be insurance group 45 (with the less powerful versions at 41 and 42) – to be honest I have no need of the kind of power the dual motor (428hp) has but the 4wd is potentially useful – with the entire range being as “cheap” as it is, topping out at a starting price of less than £41k I don’t think the price alone will keep it away.

They wont allow the twin motor version.

Also Volvo has a 6 months pre oder for these vehicles as they are currently only built in China, so they dont need extra sales.

it looks like its the base model XC40 and Ex30 that are only coming to the scheme

prices will be available on the 24th

Is that conclusion based on verifiable information or just your own opinion?

According to Driving Electric, the Kia EV6 tops out a group 45 for the tein motor AWD variant. The Ioniq 5 variant tops out at group 41.

Not sure what the cut off is or how motability work out whats is/not allowed.

Highest on the scheme is the Kia ev6 4wd 326bhp at group 40 (according to motability search) – anyone know of anything of a higher group?

The Hyundia Ionoq is 321bhp and group 40 and the outgoing Skoda Enyaq 80x is 261bhp and group 33.

I only checked electric 4wd cars are they tend to be the most powerful.

In recent years MB brought the BHP limit down to under 200 BHP for ICE cars, but obviously EV cars are now well over that limit, so I guess that BHP for EV’s are continually increasing and MB wants to push them, we will only ever know which is the highest at any given point.

Not sure mate, theres been 200+ bhp ICE cars on the scheme recently, the Min JCW was one and there varying forms of hybrids that break the 200hp, with a couple over 300hp.

Yes Kezo, but only relatively recently as there were for many years before the Daily Mail decided to do a witch hunt on the lazy, greedy, useless, scrounging, disabled with their free luxury cars at the poor tax payers expense. This, although being totally untrue, unfortunately changed things for the worse for many years.
