so i went to see the ioniq 6 yesterday. I have heard varied reports about rear headroom so decided only one way to know for sure and that was try it for myself.
I went to my local dealer RN Holden in Huddersfield. its already reported on motaclarity but they are currently until the 30th September offering an AP contribution of £1249 so a premium is £0 and a ultimate costs you £500 unless you opt for matte paint which is £200 extra.
unfortunately the dealer told me that the car is very soon to be removed from motability. the facelift will shortly be showing on Hyundai websites in uk for orders to start in the new year. he did not think it would be back on the scheme straight away and even if it was he did say that it certainly would not be at the prices of the current model on the scheme.
i apologise to everyone on the scheme but i appear to have the kiss of death. 2 weeks ago i went to see the Explorer and Capri, although in my defence i did not see the Skoda elroc or Cupra born so they at least are not my fault.
hopefully it will be back soon and not at the APs of £5k which it once was.

ah well i didnt think it would make it to feb 28th when i can order, although the new pricing of the ariya puts it in the frame and its easier to get in/out of. although a bit on the large side possibly for me. main contenders are mainly nissan juke and qq with the mini cooper an outside bet along with the ariya. not a lot else excites me or comes close to being affordable. will take a look at the grande panda when they arrive in showrooms. anyone know of any intersting launches?

@kezo, that was my only reservation, it lokks quirky so is right up my street but as you say stellantis havent excelled themselves recently.
so it is a big question mark against it whereas the nissans seem bombproof i havent had so much as a niggle with the juke and ive had a mini before so know how good they are.
still 5 months to go to decision day.

Indeed Mich. you won’t go wrong with another Nissan in the grand scheme of things.
Hyundai Inster & Renault 4/5 if there on the schem) are quirky
Nissan are playing around within the Ariya range. They’ve cut the range topping Evolve and some of the long range versions. They may return, who knows?
There’s a few quirky cars around.

I’ve just ordered the Ioniq 6 in biophilic blue with grey interior and the camera side mirrors, although it’s already in the country I’ve got to wait until December the7th when my current lease ends 😅🤣going to be a long wait!

You’re going to have fun with the camera side mirrors. If I’ve ever been asked about my car it always starts off with those cameras. Oh, count how many times you look at the camera instead of the screen. After 20odd months of driving the Hi5, I can say that the only downside of them is when you’ve parked with the camera facing the rain. It just takes a single drop to completely block the whole mirror but it has to be a well placed drop. The picture is much better in the rain than what you’d get from looking through a wet window onto a wet mirror. You quickly get used to using the screens when reversing and changing lanes.

Still on when I do a search, £4499 AP though.
