I think it’s going to be snowing again tonight I thought I hate having to park so far from my home because of the snow  that’s why in snowy times I think I need 4×4.

With out 4×4 I need to park at the top off a hill it’s so treacherous I just though is it just me

Martinod, we have a garage set away from the house I usually use, however when it do rarely snow in Cardiff, my Daughter ( who seems to love her BMW’msport 3 , 5 , currently 22d) always uses the garage.

Reson being the bloody hill, slopes with bends to get out from her home are a nightmare.
Your not alone every one around her usually leave their cars as you say far from their homes at the top.

Now problem being it’s always me got to go pick her up to get her car from ours, usually at the top of the hill though.

Had a built In garage for 35 years , internal hallway /garage door etc., but the cars never did go in- always used for freezer , washing machine, tumble dryer, kids bikes, etc etc ie as a storeroom.

Since disability and downsizing in 2013 , no garage and about 100 ft. walk to open parking space.

Always have to keep an eye on the weather.

In life, it's not who you know that's important, it's how your wife found out.

I live on an incline, too small for it to be a hill, and my house is right on the corner. So when it snows trying to turn the corner, up the incline, then immediately turn into our driveway is a challenge not for the feint hearted. The number of times I’ve nearly hit the garden wall as I slip down the hill is a lot lol.

It does get the heart pounding though.

More or less the same here Brydo with an incline but not what I’d call a hill but the road becomes a bit like a railway track under the rare event of heavy snow and my problem is if there’s another car coming down or up the road that requires me driving out of the track and into the kerb where I can guarantee I get stuck.

Only happened twice that past decade but if I do have a car behind me I just drive around the block until I can stop in the middle of the road outside my house and let the car coast back across the previously salted pavement and onto the previously salted hardstanding.
