Been told by dealer that they have car i want in stock ready to go…its in showroom and if I can come down first thing in a morning I can take car away later in day… I’m 160 miles away so this would be a plus… anyone else been able to do this on time frame m mentioned

Don’t know if that’s possible in that time frame but either way what’s to decide… they have the car you want in stock and available so I’d be up first thing tomorrow morning and on the road asap to get it signed up.

I can appreciate what your saying…but would be 320 mile round trip then same to collect it if not same day….lol….

That can’t be done has to be four days between order and collection

I had a similar two journeys, first to order car and do paperwork, then second to collect and input the pin. As far as I am aware this is not possible BUT I have to say I also spoke to a dealership who offered to do all the paperwork over the phone (which again goes against what they are allowed to do).

Sorry to correct you, but it can be done.

Each dealership is allocated a limited number of Confirmed Delivery Date (CDD) ‘Free Passes’ each quarter which does allow the dealership to breach the 4 day rule without penalty.

If the dealership exceeds the ‘Free Pass’ allocation, then the dealership is, in effect, penalised by £155 for each transaction over the free pass allocation. Some dealerships maybe willing to swallow this penalty in order to get a quick sale, but that is up to them.

They have again confirmed this can be done…mention they are few cars  short of quarterly motability Sales so need to shift few cars by and of March ….

Lol …unfortunately  I just can’t get down till Tuesday but plan on being they’re at 9am … leaving at 6am ….if it was possible b4 then I would be there trust me lol

Confirmation from dealer without asking that confirmed  that its the free pass that have few left for this quarter as they keep few for people traveling long distances

If anyone Googles any term relating to Motability and Dealers, it’s likely to be the first result anyway.
