I’m in the process of applying for a kerbside charger, let’s see how it goes.

My son lives in a flat in Glasgow and is keen to go full BEV, I have started the process and will keep you up to date with any progress.

My initial experience is that this is not easy process, I spent an hour on the phone just to get any usable info but was eventually contacted by some one from the Energy Saving Trust Scotland. They are passing my sons details to Glasgow City Council for consideration.

The process could yet be further complicated by the changes being implemented  from 1st April next year making it easier to install chargers at flats and other multiple residency housing.

I doubt this will be an active thread, as these things can take a while but I will perceiver and give as much info as I can.

I’m also enquiring as to how his company can install chargers for the workers.

Knowing Government and local council form filling processes you may have to be over the age of 70 and at least one grand parent still alive.

          ?

Daf i  hope it goes smoothly but my experience with local councils suggest it may take a wee while lol.

Well that’s a few days since Glasgow City Council received my contact details and request for a kerbside charger and not even a “we’re looking into it” response.

              This could take a while.

The strange thing is the lady from Energy Trust wouldn’t/couldn’t give a name or phone number of who in the council was dealing with it.

Judging by the disaster that is cop26, glasgow doesnt seem to have many chargers.  apparently they are bringing in a load of huge diesel generators to charge the fleet of ev’s to take folk to it.

very sensible; very green.. a typically badly thought out bit of orginisation from our not so green govt.lol
