This is a well known issue that anyone researching a new Ioniq 5 or 6 or the EV6 should already be aware of.   The ICCU failure has caused a number of cars to be laid up at dealerships for too many weeks as parts were difficult to come by despite it being a relatively common part failure.

This recall should see the end to this issue, although there have been software updates with the same claim.

From what I’ve read over several different groups it’s in Asia right now with possibilities of expansion once the home markets have been sorted.  That could be utter nonsense and it becomes rolled out globally quickly or never, who knows?
