A good short review of the Ioniq 6 by EV man, he seems to like it, suggesting he’d pick it over most of the competition.

Just managed to secure one this evening! Hope to have it by the end of the month. Reviews seem very positive anyway.
November 25, 2023 at 8:03 pm #250023We’re going to have a look ourselves, looks like it’s between this and the Enyaq.
November 26, 2023 at 4:36 pm #250083They’re different cars, the 6 is of normal height and is 20cm longer that the Skoda and has a very limited boot in comparison. The Enyaq is less well equipped but is both cheaper and stores much more.

The boot in the 6 is the main issue, we’re interested if it can fit a wheelchair or scooter, not at the same time. Mrs Joe watched the review and thinks it looks great.
November 26, 2023 at 5:32 pm #250091A folding wheelchair will fit, the boot goes back quite a way but is rather flat, unlike the Yaq. The question will be if the scooter can get through the opening, if that happens the rest will be a breeze. I’d say take both with you and try them, to be absolutely positive.

It definitely fits a manual wheelchair, I have tested it. It is a very large boot (floor area), but it is still a boot and I would be surprised if it took a scooter, unless it is a very small scooter which folds down flat.
The best bet is to take the scooter to try, but a folding manual wheelchair will definitely fit although I doubt an electric wheelchair would.

V2L cable only came with the First Edition models so unless your dealer is feeling generous I’d rule that one out.
I’m sure Motability cars used to come with the granny & type 2 cables but maybe they’ve changed that now EVs have become so common ?

Hi, if you want the exact details of what comes with your car and either have or can obtain from your dealer the VIN number the above link has instructions on how to check and how to do it without being charged. It’s a bit convoluted but if you have reasonable computer skills you should manage. I did and I’m not a whizz, although I couldn’t do it on my phone or iPad, had to go to a laptop to make it work.
If you do it it’ll tell you exactly the spec of your car including V2L. I did it with my 5 because there’ve been some customers getting cars missing components that should have been there and I wanted to be sure and have no surprises when I went to collect. It’s a strange choice for Hyundai to not include it though, it’s expensive to buy but I dare say cheap to make and supply and it’s a key differentiating feature of these cars. To buy it’s around £350 so better to be sure.
If you struggle I can check it for you but I’d need your VIN.
