      Hi All

Further to my query about my Outlander going in for an investigation under warranty, I am now in a situation where the vehicle has been stuck in the workshop for 1 week and is awaiting parts which are on back order with expected delivery date of 9th June.

My lease ends on 3rd July, and to be honest, I was not planning to start a new Motability lease for a few reasons.

I haven’t spoken to Motability yet, but has anyone had experience of Motability agreeing to end the lease early (within last 3 months anyway) because of this situation? I have been driving around in the dealer’s “roller skate” excuse for a courtesy car for the last week, and although Mitsubishi are in the process of sorting out an “equivalent” (to Outlander) hire car for me for the 10 week wait, it all seems a little pointless.

Roly I am still awaiting SDA2 screen, Mitsubishi are unable to date ?, it like drive with a fruit machine the screen goes into different modes and beeps away, the other day the mirrors closed all by themselves, the Mitsubishi (now MG) stated this could not happen.

We are due to change in June.

Oscarmax – sorry about that. My SDA2 has been fine but I’ve heard that there are a lot of faults occurring. My Outlander went in for a battery management degradation issue (a known problem with the MY2019/MY2020 models) and the dealer has managed to kill the battery management unit. Up until this point it had been faultless.

My Mitsubishi is Brindley Mitsubishi in Cannock, I had the upgrade last service to date they have been excellent, unfortunately the are now MG, the phone never stops ringing with complaining MG customers, hence they have a massive backlog.

if you wish to cancel then just phone motability and explain the situation.

I contacted MB regarding handing back our vehicle 2 weeks early as our new vehicle becomes available within the 3 month time allocated to pre order but it is considered the 3 year lease has not been fulfilled.

the conversation indicated that it would cost £50 to have the lease curtailed by 2 weeks and the good condition bonus would be lost due to the lease being reduced.

with the current constraints on new vehicles and the ability to order upto 3 months early i would have thought some leeway to facilitate a very short period either way to allow for eventualities such as this.
