I pick my Volkswagen ID5 up a week on Saturday and although I have a home charger fitted and it comes with a fast charger cable for when I’m out and about I’d like to buy a three pin plug charger for emergencies. Volkswagen have quoted £240 for theirs am I right in thinking I can just buy one from somewhere else they seem much cheaper online

Both my 3 pin granny charger and type 2 cable are in their original plastic bags, never used in the last 3 years. It’s why manufacturers stopped including granny chargers in with the car purchase, so seldom needed. But I can see why you may get one for peace of mind.
