Hi,

Car lease was up March 2020, we had already extended it February before lockdown. In April 2020 we got a £600 cheque, rang Motability and they said it’s right. So now the car is going back after 4 years. Will we get any GCB after getting £600 last year, bearing in mind we’ve had it an extra year?

No is the answer to that, gcb paid only once

As I understand it if you get the full extra year in to make a complete 4 year lease you should get an extra £100 on top of the £600 all ready paid.

3 years £600

4 years £700

5 years £900

You will get a pro rata amount for the additional year.

GCB paid 600 on 3 or 4 years ,if you keep car for 5 years will be 900 no extra on 4 year

Sorry forgot to say,you must ask for 5 years before the 3 years are up to qualify for extra,so in a nutshell no extra cash to come to on collection of new car for gcb as already been recieved,ring motability is the best way.
