Hi all,
whilst researching my next vehicle, I was considering the Kia Niro which is hybrid .
I am now leaning towards fully electric and like the Hyundai Kona large 64 kw battery, or the MG Zs 51 kw battery. Both ranges will be sufficient for our day to day needs. We think the Kona a little small and the MG is bigger (in rear and boot).
Apart from this does anyone have experience of either electric vehicles?

In this scenario the Kona 64kw would be the better option has it has 300 mile range against the MG ZS 51kw which has 198 mile range. However The MG ZS is a slightly larger vehicle if size matters. From a personel point of view I think the MG has a nicer interior with leather effect seats better looking infotainment screen and cockpit.
Sadly the long range MG ZS 72kw 280 mile range which is comparable to the Kona 64kw was taken off the scheme this quarter.
The only issue I have with any MG is they don’t come with privacy glass in the rear, which from a personnel point of view I would want and be willing to pay £150 to get it installed aftermarket.
I’ve been in both wonky and the MG looks better both in and out IMO. As far as the EV side of it goes, based on what I’ve read, I would prefer the Kona. If you don’t do too many miles per day, any of them would do you.
Im not sure about delivery times but I would guess the MG would have the shorter delivery times.
Not sure what Kezo is up to in the back seat to need privacy glass lol but it wouldn’t be a deal breaker for me ?.

yes space is my worry about Kona. Range of MG not bad would prefer more.
Worried about MG quality, amount of kit on MG is good for money.
Wish there was the perfect ev available to us .
Size of MG plus all the kit with a better quality like Kona.

I don’t think MG is far if any behind Hyundai and they come with 7yr warranty. MG seem to be the most popular car around where I live.
IF the ZS EV was a little bigger I would have had it this time around, just needed something bigger.

2008 is better than the MG and has roughly same range, kona was way to small for me, if the id3 would of been on I would of ordered that even with a year wait as the leg room in that being a dedicated electric was amazing tbh, much better than some so called large suvs
