I thought last weeks cut was “it” for the year but no. The unseasonally hot weather is encouraging a final flourish of grass to appear. Of course grass continues to grow all year long but to require a cut some 10 days after the last, at this time of year, is unusual. So mower out tomorrow, as its the only dry day forecast for the next fortnight, and, surely, the final cut of the year.

Last year’s final cut was in November and the final week. I hope today’s cut will be the last until early spring.

Same here, fwippers. Was still trimming lawns up to final week in November last year. Grass was perfectly dry yesterday so gave it a quick cut.
