      Hi all,

Can anyone clue me in on the details of the replacement/ repair arrangements for a car when the lease has been extended past the car’s warrant period?

Does MB continue to cover repairs? What about consumables like brakes/ bushings (eventually) etc.

      Many thanks.

Yep it’s all covered, they will also give it an Mot, we extended the last car to 4 1/2 years. It’s pretty seamless.

          Thanks Jojoe!

That’s awesome news for us. It means the AP will be diluted somewhat and the only issue will be we won’t be driving “new”. All we care about is having needs met. Makes committing to a larg AP more palatable!

As Jojoe says, everything other than fuel (or charging) is covered, as per the first 3 years. It would be a poor show if it wasn’t, tbh, given that you still sacrifice the full benefits for the 4th and 5th year, the value of which will cover all the additional costs (depreciation, servicing, tyres etc) many times over!

Yes, effectively spreading the AP over 4 or 5 years is definitely one positive of an extension, especially at times when APs are very high, as they are now. Plus, of course, it can keep you in a better car than is currently available.
