It has just donned on me that the dealer said to me ‘have you your pin, ack it’s alright I can get it here’.

How the hell did that happen? I thought only we had our pin and no one else and we only input it when we are happy with the vehicle. Id already checked out the car, but at no point did I have to go into my account to get pin and enter it.

He entered the pin as he said it was on his computer. I would have needed to go into my phone and open the pin which I didn’t. Id already went through the car and was happy with it, it was also a stock car if that means anything

I just didn’t think about it until I was home.

Unless the PIN is known to the dealer as its a replacement for the original car? Maybe I.m wrong?

Could be the PIN applies to the Motability Account as an electronic signature for your lease, not the car. As Des original lease is void, the alternative car is now fulfilling the lease.
