I ordered my new car in June 2021 , after it took me 12 months to decide on the car and the manufacturer. Then  after 12 weeks of waiting I get left a voicemail letting me know about the micro chips that are needed in these cars and how there’s a global shortage.  I am furious right now as I was made aware of this on a 25 second voicemail.

What car did you have on order

I ordered my car (MINI Countryman) in February (although the order form says 8th March), it was due in late Arpil or early May as we needed a bigger car for when my son was due to be born in June. It’s been delayed several times since but the car was finally built in July and shipped from Holland to the UK. It’s now been sitting at the dealership since then waiting for an amplifier to be fitted to it due to the chip shortage.
