Friend invested £10,000 in Bitcoin last October, currently trading at around £42,000.

(Example ledger nano s or nano x)With a wallet you can study crypto share/coin prices store any purchased interest.
The wallet you can google for more info.
I tend to buy cheap sit on it.
That price there Joss is the price of one coin?, good if you bought cheap and it’s risen.
I have a few as low as 44p, so if it rises like the above all good, if I don’t then I haven’t broken the bank..

Be very very careful when investing in cryptocurrency and don’t invest money you can’t afford to lose.
The only person who got all his work done by Friday was Robinson Crusoe.

Crptocurrency is a bit like the equivalent to gold which has a store value of what people are putting in and doesn’t have an intrinsic value (objective value in an object, asset etc)
Its also worth remembering its more volotile and as much as it can increase one day, it can drop like a brick the next. Bitcoin is in a sense an investment just like stocks and shares or even investing in gold, but with any crptocurrency you can get your fingers burned far more. Personally I would say cryptocurrency is more like a straight bet on something that you think will make money similar to doing a straight win on the horses.
Its also highly unlikely you would have access to the financial services ombudsman or the compensation scheme.
There are known cases of crypto wallets getting stolen. Those who push cryptocurrency often say big major businesses are getting involved so the value will skyrocket, but thats just speculation because no one knows what will happen.
I’m not saying you won’t make money because it is possible, just as its possible to loose everything. What I’m saying is don’t bet your life savings on it.
Finally, Yes I have gambleb with Bitcoin as a kind of syndicate with a few friends, where each put £200 to buy into it. That was in 2011, in 2013 we lost everthing because it crashed. I will now only invest in something I can see or with protection.

There is only one certain product for investment that’s specie ie gold which you hold in your hands.
Which will help prevent crypto currencies being used for money laundering.
