There is a lot of knowledge amongst us, I exclude myself.
The COVID 19 is dominating the news:
How worried should we be?
Will this be Spanish flu proportions or just another contained outbreak as SARS and MERS were?
Oh – and when will we start to see ‘Just in time’ manufacturing suffer?

GeorgieCan she go back out clubbing now, or have to wait for jab 2?
She can’t wait for Lock-down to finish. She already asked to borrow my 5″ Louboutins, just as soon as Liz Hurley finally returns her Donatella Versace ‘Safety Pin dress’. (Seriously, Liz – it’s been 26 years – me mam wants her glad rags back!)

BrydoFrom what I can make out all over 80’s are to be vaccinated within the next four weeks. We should start to see the number of deaths reducing by this time ?
January 8, 2021 at 8:03 am #135142We live in hope, Brydo. Especially here in Sussex where the infection/death rate has gone through the roof. Worthing was one of the least affected places in the UK, it is now one of the worst. All this in the last 2/3 weeks. Worthing hospital has trouble coping with “normal” demand; the gods only know what utter chaos they are in at the moment.

January 8, 2021 at 12:46 pm #135203well thats wiltshire farm foods amd morrisons delivered today so touch wood i should be good for a month.
14 substitutions or not availables from morrisons and the driver says the local store was stripped bare nearly every day this week.
much hoarding going on methinks lol.
January 8, 2021 at 12:57 pm #135206They’re all mad. In my local store there’s been a run on binbags.
January 8, 2021 at 2:54 pm #135214We use Morrisons via Amazon Prime and Iceland and have found up to now we generally get 95%, hope this has not jinxed it!
January 8, 2021 at 3:14 pm #135216Have been using mixture of ASDA, Waitrose and Tesco; generally get about 95% of order. Recently switched to Sainsbury’s to replace Tesco and Waitrose because booking delivery slots was impossible. Unavailable stuff about the same from Sainsbury’s. Final Waitrose delivery was about only 60% of order. Delivery driver said shelves in shop were virtually empty. Most difficult thing to get at present is DIY Crispy Chinese Roast Duck, Gressingham or otherwise. Entirely inconsequential of course, but why is there a run on it?

January 10, 2021 at 8:12 pm #135517It does seem highly likely that stricter measures are on the way, and soon too.
