I have a Tiguan on order with the local dealership & according to the VW app, it’s now been built & in transit to the uk.I had been eligible to place an order with motability at the end of March, with every thing in place at the dealership, but lockdown postponed that.
I called the dealership on the 9th June to remind them that they still needed to complete the motability side of things,
As of yesterday, the dealer stated there computer says no, they can’t place the order to motability until the 1st July.
I told them that info is incorrect & that date is for new customers only, but there reply is there computer says no & they will order it in July.
With my luck what’s the odds of the Tiguan being taken of the scheme!!!
The biggest part of I.T.errors is the interface between the office chair & the keyboard.

Have you rang motability about this? If Dealer is saying no. Seems a bit off to me.

If I was sure the Tiggy R-Line Tech would be on the scheme come Q3 I would leave them to plod along at there own pace, but if the VW tracker app is to be believed, my car could be ready to collect in the next few weeks.

If its any help Tom, I’ve seen the Tiggy on the scheme for the last few years as we considered one last change date.
I know the petrol R Line tech DSG only made a brief appearance but the diesel DSG and the manuals should be there.

Hi all, been lurking on here, keeping an eye on the current Motability and dealer shenanigans as our lease on a 17-plate Qashqai is up on 21st July. Obviously MB have said the lease and insurance will be extended as needed and we’ve now had a letter saying we can order out next car.
We’re after something similar to the QQ so naturally we’ve looked at Atecas, Tiguans and 3008s, as well as most other SUV-types. We were all set to order a Tiguan but one last look on the VW site put us off… This message is now on the Tiguan page: “The Tiguan is available from stock only.”
The choice is dwindling by the day…
What I meant to say was that perhaps that is the reason some people are having issues with there Tiguan orders..
Tiguan stock cars only!!!
Cheers for the heads up Mark, I could understand if there was a new model or facelift due out very soon, but that’s definitely a strange one.

The Tiguan is due a face lift and VW would normally do this over a summer shut down for re-tooling etc.

Citreon C4 PicassoAfter my email & call to the dealership last week, I emailed them again this morning to enquire why my car order had still not been handed over to motability.
For the first time ever they responded without me having to chase them, so as of today, I have an email from the dealer, stating I have a confirmed order in place with motability of a Tiguan R-Line Tech.
My asking for confirmation in writing as well as verbal, that only the lower AP between Q2/3 prices is still in place, as it had been for the Q1/2 price list back in March when I had originally ordered was ignored & not mentioned.
But at least I have a confirmed order now.

We are due for renewal mid-Sept but started looking as soon as MB reopened for orders and I am v glad I did. Ordered a vw Tig Allspace from stock as build time was a quess-timate of 7 months on a new order! They quoted up to 1 Yr build time for a Passat estate.
I’ve seen some long lead time’s recently from different manufacturers, but that eta of 12mth on a Passat must take the crown.

When did you order your allspace mate?, I ordered mine 29th Dec, got told I had build week 16 I think, which was mid April, then covid happened, been told vw pueblo where its made are now open at 30% production rate, mine was due to be built 2 weeks after shutdown so hopefully will be one of the first batch but just don’t have a clue when I’ll get it, very frustrating and vw along with jct600 have been useless
The VW configurator has lost some cars recently. The Tiguan has lost SEL spec and the Touran has lost SEL and Rline.

I ‘reserved’ our Allspace on 8th June and completed new lease application at dealership on 13th June. VW advised on 8th that there were 2 in the country that met our requirements, they reserved one for us and completed paperwork for it a few days later. Reading all the VW delays on here prompted me to email vw for an update on ours, they confirmed thee car arrived at their dealership today and is sat waiting for us to collect i
So sorry to hear about your extended delay Tommy. To reiterate ours hasny been built specifically for us but reserved from vw national stock as we didn’t need an additional adaptations. Hope you get your new car soon mate!
