It depends on your reason and if you have had an early contract termination before. We did it once 20 years ago and it was quite easy. Mrs Joe uses a steering ball and the car back then didn’t have power steering and she found it very difficult, they agreed we could change 6 months into the contract. Not sure what it will be like for EV as I seem to remember having to tick box an EV suitability questionnaire when we ordered our EV.

If your health for example has got wose since taking delivery and your unable to use public chargers anymore due to this and is making travelling visiting family difficult, you will most likely stand a better chance of swopping the car than simply saying the car doesn’t go far enough!

Actually mb are quite considerate when it comes to swapping EV’s due to its range, you’ll need to advise them of the difficulties you’re experiencing such as having to make frequent charging stops to get to your destination and the impact its having on your health/mobility.

In my case, my work was located 100+ miles away from home, and my then E2008 was a pita in winter/cold months. A swap was approved considering I mostly work from home, and in the event I couldn’t cope with the vehicle anymore. I didn’t swap in the end.
