Hi there, I’m in need of some help or advice, here’s the current situation I’m in. Due to an accident last year I’m looking to get a new car however my other half is the driver and due to circumstances changing since last year we are going to need to get it adapted, she has had toe assessment and the report says she needs a ghost ring accelerator with a push brake and because he is going to need a scooter now we will need a hoist. This is all completely new to us and because of needing the adaptions too I have contacted the grants team and started the application. However I was wondering what kind of car they might offer bearing in mind we will need a raised suv type and because she has arthritis hearted seats and maybe a heated wheel would be helpful. I have done a lot of looking into this and it would seem the Edition versions of the Skoda Elroq and or Enyaq would work. The lady on the phone said the ydon’t give a grant for the adaptions they do it for the car and adaptions, I was fine to pay for the car and get a grant for adaptions but she said that can[t be done which seems strange. Anyway as I said the adaptions side of this is all totally alien to me so any help or advice on how I can plead my case to the person who might deal with my case would be greatly appreciated. I shold also add I already have a car charger as my last car was a Toyota BZ4X which was a very pleasent thing indeed. Many thanksin advance for the help.
From April 2024 Toyota BZ4X now From april 2025 Skoda Enyaq 85 Edition due to BZ4x being written off
