I’ve to return a hire car tomorrow. MG HS. I got it with a full tank and battery. I have to go on a 40 odd mild round trip before I hand it back.

Easy to fill fuel tank but don’t want to have to wait on battery charging. So can it run on ICE only?

Given that it takes about 6 hours to charge a PHEV at home and not everyone would have the means to do so, I’d say a firm ‘no’, they wouldn’t expect it to be returned charged. If they did (which I’m convinced they wouldn’t) then I’d just offer them a pound or two to cover the cost of them doing it 😂

I did Kezo. Such a comfortable car, but back to putting petrol in. Nah. In three weeks I put £80 in it. Nah. Mind I did a wee test so it could have been a lot less.

Aye Glos guy I don’t know what I was worried about, I suppose the horror stories you here about hire companies.

I was able to charge the mg from 0-100 so 32 miles in 3 1/2 hours.
