Has anyone been able to secure a test drive, have spoken to a dealer who had no idea when it would be available. On line test drive is available but how can you tell if it’s suitable especially as I am 6 feet 8 inches

I just looked at the dimensions, it’s only 1.485m high, that’s 13cm (5″) lower than my current Seat Ateca.

I’m just under 6′ 6″ and there’s no way I’d be able to get into it.  I look for at least 1.6m as a guide

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

At 6’8″, i’d be very surprised and impressed if you’d manage to get in and out comfortably.

Indeed like Phaedra, i very much doubt that it’s gonna happen – you’d need to “duck” over 50cm (19.6″) to get your head below the roofline (the roofline not being the entry yet even).

Safe to assume that in reality, your head needs to come down more than 60cm (23.5″) to get it into the car. Basically, if you’re “standing” on your knees next to the car, you’re still able to see the roof.

I’d be looking at compact SUVs or bigger – if it needs to be a Citroen, the C5 Aircross would be the (much) better bet.

Prior: SEAT Ateca Xcellence Lux 1.5 TSI DSG MY19, VW Golf GTE PHEV DSG MY23
          Current: Hyundai Ioniq 6 Ultimate
          Next: we'll see what's available in 2028.
