hope you all well.

just wanted to know of any experiences of buying a motability car:

was it a good price?

was the price negotiable?

do they physically check mileage/condition of car?

Or is it dealt with via phone?

Hoping to buy my seat alhambara end of 3 years….. fingers crossed, but dreading the price.

anyone bought a seat alhambara 2.0 tdi auto excellence recently after 3 years??

Have a look on motability web site it states the price isn’t negotiable.
The prices are the retail prices so no bargains other then the fact you don’t have to search for another car yourself, you know the car and it’s service history, You’ll have had the car mot’d and anything found done along with a service.

So you could probably buy another one cheaper at auction or privately and take a punt at its past.

Thanks. So price seems expensive. If you dont buy direct from motability can you not follow the car to the auction/dealer and try buying cheaper from there?

I think they tend to be trade auctions but I don’t think it’s much of a secret which auction company they use.
But yes you could try signing up and take a chance and hope your the highest bidder for your old car.
don’t forget you also pay a buyers fee plus vat.

plus you’ll be without a car for a few weeks.

Just going on average prices for your car right now I would say they will be looking around £18,000 at least.
