Hi Good Morning Everyone.

I have a Gran Coupe on order and have been tracking its progress,  it was logged as being at sea yesterday Morning,  does anyone know roughly how long this takes for my car to arrive in the U.K then from there what timescale for handover,  Live chat are saying collection the end of this week,  does that sound about right with you guys ?

Hi. As of last evening my GC was still at exit port of Cuxhaven awaiting transit. Hoping for movement early this week with handover hopefully by Xmas Eve. Seems like 24 hr sea journey, couple of days to psi, then to dealership.

About 5 to 7 days seems about right. Mine was the same and landed here was due to pick up 5 days later but then the 1st lockdown hit.

It’ll probably be longer than stated, my BMW was 13 says longer as the ports are a mess but hopefully you get lucky and get it on time. Tip is check what it says on your motability online as that had my new date.

Hi. When you said the paperwork from Motability, do you mean stuff with pin etc.

my GC was ordered 25 July, now sitting at exit port. Supposed to be with dealer 21 December but my paperwork issued shows payments to start 3 Feb 2021!
am a bit confused now.

Mrs Kipling I have  just checked our paperwork that arrived on Saturday it says our current car is due to be swapped on Dec 24th , Our Pin arrived a few months ago,  no mention of any payment dates on there,  it says if our G.C isn’t here by 24th then the dealer will arrange an extension,  ours was ordered 2 days before yours on July 19th , it also says its at exit port ( Southampton) .When I last spoke to our dealer 3 weeks ago he said we were still online for a Christmas changeover. I guess we can only cross our fingers they arrive soon Im not optimistic that will be the case but we can hope .

Just spoke to B.M.W live chat Mrs Kipling our estimated delivery date to dealer is now week commencing 28th Dec 🙁

they taking the mick mine has been moved from a week before christmas to a week after, i may just cancel now, i am absoloutely fuming

Just wondering what progress you have had with GC if any!
told by dealer last week certainly not making it by Dec 23 rd when they close down for Xmas. Was scheduled to arrive by 27th. When I checked sailing schedule, only two sailings could be are today or Tuesday to arrive in UK. Yet live chat shows still at exit port.

dealer also intimated as we go into lockdown 26th for six weeks and business closed? No movement until February.

getting a bit ridiculous now as car has been at exit port for 16 days.

My car arrived in the U.K last Monday , It has completed all of its safety checks and paperwork etc and will be delivered to my dealer later this week , collection is estimated to be on 28th but it  could still be before Christmas all being well .

Bifter my car is still at the port in the eu but they telling me it should be with the dealer on the 28th so how is it possible if yours is already here but we both expecting delivery on the same day

All I know is mine definitely arrived in Southampton a week ago and is now awaiting transport to my dealer .

Live chat and my Dealer have both confirmed this and my dealer has arranged an appointment for 28th for the handover,  they said it might be here this week in which case a pre Christmas handover will be arranged.

I was given an estimated delivery date of last Monday originally then it moved to today , these were whilst the car was still being built and then when it sat at the exit port so I have no idea how they get these dates .

I am just happy that mine is here in the country and will be with me soon .

i got a call from my dealer he said he is expecting delivery 27th but cannot handover till 31st due to “motability’s 4 day rule” anyone else aware of this rule?

I’ve been quoted 29th December and collection early January.Have to say dealer has been great especially Robbie Oliver who is dealing with my order and will have private registration on the vehicle for collection as I was sent a retention document with a code from Motability that I handed into dealer ?
