Battery progress that isn’t “in years to come”

      Looks like a real leap forward in technology. Solid state batteries will be the gold standard when they become viable not just for Cars but as storage facilities to take advantage of cheap rate energy.
      Hope these batteries are with us sooner than later.

        BYD already have made huge progress their new blade batteries don’t burst onto flames if punctured.

        Amazing how far things have come in the past 3 years tbh it’s easy to think nothing much has changed but energy density is increasing all the time.

        Solid state or glass batteries are the true goal we’ve got them working now but it’s scaling them for mass manufacturing at an affordable price.

        There’s a battery tech been demonstrated on a phone I think it was that recharged in a few seconds I forget the details but essentially it took a crazy high current for a short time to 80% charge it.

        My Xiaomi 12 pro comes with a super fast charger Hypercharge they call it and charges at 120w it’s stupid fast. Imagine that scaled up. You can actually sit and watch the % number scroll up it charges so fast
