Been having my eye on the SEAT LEON for a couple of months, as I believe it ticks all the boxes, had a look at the alternatives but don’t like the way they look. Any ideas when it will return? ?

When I spoke to Seat Motability in April when my car was in for its 3 year service, the rep said that they have no plans to bring the Leon back to the scheme.

Have you looked at the Ford Focus? It’s recently retruned to the scheme and would be my pick if I was after a hatchback.

Personnelly I would never believe a sales rep @Richums as I find they only know whats happing here and now so to speak. I would be contacting Seat directly either by email or telephone and get a devinitive answer.

I had two successive Leon’s a hatchback and then an absolutely awesome  2.0 l 190 BHP DSG which was better than many of the BMWs and Mercs I had previously.  Well equipped, excellent fuel economy and performance.

It even withstood whilst stationery a rear end impact by a lorry travelling at 50+ mph that pushed the car 100 ft down the road. The only damage to the car was a new boot lid and part bumper!

One of the best cars on the scheme at the time.

Their 1l was 4k before it was taken off so if its back I don’t imagine it will be cheap (reckon I paid £650 for my 190 oh those were the days), that said all the folks on various facebook groups and forum moaning about their electrics, stuff not working and recalls has kind of put me off, which is sad as I’ve had 7 good years with two I’ve had.

My two were faultless. My Tarraco was a nightmare for faults and MB took it back. The electrical faults are common amongst all the “average” VAG group – Skoda, SEAT and VW and every model seems blighted with some form of issue with the infotainment or display.   However, there are few faults with the Audi versions …….

Had a Leon for 3 years, only thing needed was new wheel bearing due to large pothole.  Just coming up on 3 years with my Tarraco and have had no issues whatsoever and would recommend them to anyone.
