ordered a car end of December which was due for delivery in March, obviously due to lockdown was unable to take delivery until June when opened again. Due to my circumstances I cancelled the vehicle in June after lockdown. I paid a £500 deposit, am I entitled to have it refunded.

darren that would depend on the terms and conditions given to you by the dealership. deposits are nothing to do with Motability as they dont allow it to be towards the AP. first port of call would be contacting the dealership requesting the refund.

I wish folk would not give deposits. There is no requirement to do so under motabilty scheme. Saves this sort of issue down the line.

unless they gave it you in writing that it was none refundable then you should have no issue in getting it back.
