Unfortunately, I’m struggling to find a way to post it there. Covid at last has visited me.Posters were trying to determine how Motability decided who to pay first as some may be in need right now.
It’s clear from the posts that Alphabetical isn’t it. My surname begins with C.
I received my new car, a Corsa EV on May 4 this year after a 5 months delay. As yet I’ve received neither the email nor, obviously, the payment.
Someone suggested it, the payment schedule, may be based on waiting or delivery delay time.
Any, just lobbing a bit more info into the mix.
Hopefully those who could do with this useful assistance won’t be waiting long.
Kind regards to you all.
Harry

SteadyhorseReceived my £350 today. My surname begins with W and I’ve had my current car for 18 months. Doesn’t seem to be any pattern to how Motability are paying folk.
November 2, 2022 at 9:11 am #199626I received my payment yesterday, I’ve had my car for 27 months and my surname begins with a W. I’ve no idea how they decide the order of payments but I’m sure everyone will receive their payment at some point.

There was another thread on the subject, but can’t find it. I’m sure some had been on the scheme for a long time but not had it. I think its more to do with how long you have had your current lease. Ive inly has mine since March and still waiting.
You would think with tdays technology it would just be a simple single key press on the keyboard and all those eligible sent payment.

Having been making an enquiry with Motability Accounts on behalf of a veteran on the scheme, it is not as simple as pressing a key and issuing the £350 payments to all customers.
Motability are having to check that recipients of the £350 were not already in receipt of their full GCB, offered prematurely to assist during the Covid Pandemic in 2020/21.
Apparently, this is a semi-manual process to ensure that those who did receive their full GCB during the pandemic are not sent a further £350 in error.
Hence the payment issue being somewhat protracted.

Hi BigDave, so what your saying is if someone received £350 as part of the gbc during the pandemic, they will not be getting it this time?
I automatical received with out asking for it, along with many others a £350 part payment of the gcb during the pandemic and when I changed my car in March I received the remainder £250 of the gcb and £250 new vehicle payment. So by what your saying I won’t be getting it again?
How I understood it is if you ordered a new vehicle prior to 4th October you would be getting the £350 and the remaing £250 when I took delivery of my next car and from then on it would change to £250 gcp

Yes, if you have changed vehicles between getting your GCB prematurely during the pandemic, thus getting the £350 shortly in relation to your current vehicle.
Those who opted for the full £600 GCB to be paid prematurely during the pandemic and still have the same vehicle have, in effect already had their £350 back then, incluing the future residual end of contract GCP. Then if there has been a lease extension………………….
It sounded pretty complex even to them, as they were working it out manually, then doing the data input.
Hence not just a case of sending the £350 to everyone!

I eagerly await payment of £350 as it will be part payment towards an espresso machine 😉

GCP and resale valueReceived email notification re within 5 days.
As mentioned above, Surname begins with C.
New vehicle last May
5 months wait.
Thanks btw for the information on methodology to avoid duplication. This however has created its own confusion. Hopefully all will be clear soon.
I would be very inclined to phone MOp for clarification.
Personally delighted to be getting this earlier than expected. Being off grid ( gas) I can buy the coal. We live in an old Cornish cottage and the wind doth blow.
Btw. Last year bag of coal £7.
This year… .£17
Similar rise in price of logs.
I hope you all get this assistance asap. Keep warm my friends.

Hi Sruth probably Lilet Elizabeth Dual boiler or Mar X heat exchanger. I prefer the Elizabeth design than the Mar x which has an E61 group head. - AuthorReplies
