I’m pretty sure it’s the same as in the new golf.
But yes you can customise the screen to show speed etc in larger image.
In the vehicle settings you can set the cruise control to save your last distance. If you don’t it will activate at the middle distance then you can adjust it on the move with the button on the steering wheel.
