Yes, I have thought about it, and I’m aware it’s a lot of mileage. To be honest, it’s exactly why I’m looking at different options going forward. Next time I may not use Motability and instead look at something like the NHS fleet scheme, which seems to offer more flexibility with mileage. At the moment though, I’m just trying to work within the options available. I still think it would be helpful if there was some flexibility built into the scheme for people who genuinely need higher mileage.
Even if it meant paying more, having the option would be better than having no option at all and just having to accept a one size fits all limit.
Based on 190 school days @ circa 200 miles a day, thats circa 38,000 miles a year 114,000 miles over 3 years and a potential hit of £27,750 based on 25p!
