There was a survey that went out to some customers that included a ranch of proposals including the mileage reduction.
As for the 7.5k average, I can believe that, whilst there are plenty who work and travel and stuff I know there are also those that drive a lot less. My mum’s last car did 4.2 k miles total in 3.5 years. I also know of others for whom it’s a weekly trip shopping, occasional trips to the doctors/hospital. 7k a year would be a long way beyond what they do in total.
