There are two types of HUD – Augmented reality that displays info on the actual windscreen & Perspex screen that slides up and down and the information displays on the perspex with less clarity. Not sure which type the Mini has? I suffer arthritus in my knees, hips and shoulders, I wouldn’t have a car now without having 360 camera’s, heated electric drivers seat, heated steering wheel and temperature knob. I jus find its makes like a damn sight more easier and comfortable as I have got older. I also suffer Raynauds. Unfortunately, I have forgot what car has what without looking sorry, but at end of the day, only you can decide what suites your needs best.
The Mini uses a pop up HUD with a tinted Perspex screen.
An AR (Augmented Reality) HUD is a different HUD, compared to a standard HUD that just projects driver information direct on the windscreen or Perspex pop up screen.
An AR HUD projects directions onto the road, such as arrows that appear small, when the junction is far away. They seem to hang to the junction and get bigger as you get closer. Or, project arrows into the road in front of you, as if they’re lane markings, and follow the road prospective and direction.

I have ASD and thus have difficulty with social and understanding information, written and verbal. I process information in logical blocks, before I reply. Sometimes I'm right and sometimes I'm wrong.
I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.
