4WD or AWD + summer tyres = no better than 2WD
2WD + winter tyres = much better grip
4WD + winter tyres = best grip in snow.
A common misconception and it always makes me smile when someone says “I need a 4WD because I live at the bottom of a steep hill with hairpin bends”
